Charles Phillips is a researcher and consultant specialized in energy and climate change policy in the Middle East. He has worked and traveled across Africa and the Middle East including his work as a policy researcher in Qatar and Saudi Arabia assessing the alignment of GCC climate change policy with global climate targets. Charles currently consults for Oxford Business Group — a global economic research and advisory firm specializing in emerging markets. He has an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford and a BA in International Relations from the University of Exeter. His work has included extended periods of in-country field research in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Türkiye, Palestine, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria.
