<p><img src="https://cdn.henleyglobal.com/ru/storage/app/media/COUNTRIES/STKITTS/St_Kitts_view_902x422.jpg" title="Recent Changes To the Caribbean Citizenship by Investment Programs" alt="Recent Changes To the Caribbean Citizenship by Investment Programs" class="fr-fic fr-dib" data-result="success"></p> <p>In December 2021, two Caribbean governments announced changes to their citizenship by investment programs.</p> <p>At the beginning of December, the Executive Director of the Citizenship By Investment Unit of <a href="https://www.henleyglobal.com/citizenship-investment/st-kitts-nevis" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">St. Kitts and Nevis</a> confirmed that, as of 1 January 2022, the capital contribution to the country’s economy would increase and that the government was not going to prolong its existing offer for families of four.</p> <p>For now, St. Kitts and Nevis has one of the lowest capital contribution thresholds for families of four. Including associated expenses, its passport can be obtained for USD 165,100. Only <a href="https://www.henleyglobal.com/citizenship-investment/antigua-barbuda" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">the passports of Antigua and Barbuda</a> are more competitively priced for families (USD 148,200).</p> <p>Citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more than 150 countries including <br>the Schengen Area, Hong Kong, Russia, Singapore, the UK, and other destinations. Documents can be submitted and processed remotely.</p> <p>On 20 December 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers of St. Lucia issued a memorandum that the special Covid-19 Relief Bond investment option will remain in place until 31 December 2022.</p> <p>A refundable investment in Relief Bonds allows an investor to apply for <a href="https://www.henleyglobal.com/citizenship-investment/st-lucia" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">St. Lucia citizenship</a> for USD 250,000, <br>as opposed to the standard investment of USD 500,000 in government bonds.</p> <p>There are currently several options to participate in the St. Lucia Citizenship by Investment Program: the purchase of real estate, a non-refundable contribution to a government foundation, or investment in an enterprise project. The minimum capital contribution is USD 100,000 for one applicant.</p> <p>A St. Lucia passport entitles its holder to visa-free travel in the EU, the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore.</p>
