SKN Citizenship-by-Investment Program Garners Praise

Wednesday 14 September 2016

Henley & Partners, a long-standing supporter of the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship-by-Investment Program, congratulates the Government of the Federation on the significant successes achieved by its Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) in restructuring its program to ensure that it continues to be a world-leading proposition for those seeking a top-rate second citizenship in the East Caribbean.

Henley & Partners attended the National Conference of Service Providers and Developers for the citizenship-by-investment program on 12 September 2016, welcoming the announcement of Mr. Les Khan as the new head of the CIU and acknowledging the outstanding progress he and his team have made over the past year to enhance the program.

Christopher Willis, Managing Partner of Henley & Partners in the Caribbean, says the successful restructuring and repositioning of the program is a tribute to the thoughtful and collaborative leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister, Dr. Timothy Harris, his cabinet colleagues and Mr. Khan. “Together, they have made the oldest citizenship-by-investment program in the world administratively and legally much stronger, ensuring that it is able to fulfill its mandate to improve the lives of the citizens of this remarkable island nation. We particularly welcome the holistic and cooperative approach adopted by Dr. Harris and Mr. Khan in engaging with all stakeholders, both inside and outside of government.”

Henley & Partners, which has an office in St Kitts and is widely acknowledged as the global pioneer and industry leader in citizenship and residence planning, has been intimately involved in promoting the St Kitts and Nevis citizenship program for more than 10 years. Mr. Willis says the improvements made by Mr. Khan and his team have assisted and enabled accredited service providers such as Henley & Partners to offer an exceptionally high quality service to their clients.

“The CIU has recruited and retained a top quality team of experienced and highly skilled senior managers who have dramatically improved the capacity of the unit to turn around client files within stated timeframes. They inherited a huge backlog of applications which they have now successfully cleared. We greatly appreciate their positive and responsive attitude to our enquiries or when we have highlighted issues that need to be addressed. We congratulate them on their strenuous efforts thus far and offer our continued support to Dr. Harris and Mr. Khan as they take the program from strength to strength,” states Willis.
