Board of Advisors
Henley & Partners' Board of Advisors is an independent, non-executive group of distinguished individuals who from time to time consult with the firm's senior management on strategy and important issues, new business ideas, philanthropic initiatives and other matters. The Board of Advisors meets at least once a year and is currently made up of the following individuals:
Mr. Bender is a board member of a large single family office associated with one of the founding families of the Reed Elsevier Group. He has worked in the investment and trust fields since 1988 with Morgan Stanley, Barings and HSBC. He has also served as special adviser to The Prince's Charities and as councillor for The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Mr. Goldscheider is a serial entrepreneur from Austria who has created, lead, advised and invested in companies worldwide in the private equity, mobile, Internet and sustainability space. www.linkedin.com/in/goldscheider
Mr. Gray is an American tax lawyer with a global perspective. He was called to the bar in 1975, and based in London since 1991. He was previously a federal prosecutor in the Tax Division, US Dept. of Justice, and since then specializes in international tax planning.
Professor Dr. Dimitry Kochenov
Professor Kochenov holds a Chair in EU Constitutional Law at the University of Groningen, is a Visiting Professor of the College of Europe (Natolin) and the Chairman of the Investment Migration Council. Eric G. Major
Eric G. Major, MSc, IMCM, is one of the world's foremost specialists in investor immigration programs and policy. Formerly the CEO of Henley & Partners, where he led the firm’s impressive growth and cemented the firm’s leadership position in the Investment Migration industry, he was also the founder and Managing Director of HSBC's Global Investor Immigration Services from 1997-2011, where he helped raise over USD 2 billion investment capital and facilitated the successful immigration of more than 5,000 families. Mr Major has over 20 years of experience in international residence and citizenship planning. He regularly meets with government ministers and senior government representatives to advise on business immigration policy and is also a regular speaker at major international conferences.
Professor Dr. Prieur du Plessis
Professor du Plessis is chairman of Plexus Holdings, an investment management business he founded in 1995. He also serves on the Council of the University of Stellenbosch and on the boards of several investment companies. For many years he also holds the position of Honorary Consul General of Slovenia for South Africa.
Namira Salim is the Founder and Chairperson of Space Trust and is internationally renowned as the first future Space Tourist from South Asia and Monaco to go to space aboard the Virgin Galactic, the world’s first commercial space liner. She is the first Pakistani and first woman from Monaco to have reached the North and South Poles in 2007/08, as well as the first Asian to skydive (tandem) over Mount Everest during the historic First Everest Skydives in 2008. She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and has served as Honorary Ambassador of Tourism for Pakistan and as First Honorary Consul of Pakistan to Monaco, having spearheaded diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2009. Namira was decorated with a "Medal of Excellence" by the President of Pakistan in 2011.
