14th Global Citizenship Conference

10 - 26 November 2020, Online

14th Global Citizenship Conference

Henley & Partners is pleased to be hosting our 14th annual Global Citizenship Conference this November 2020. Following the highly successful 13th Global Citizenship Conference in London last year, Henley & Partners is excited to be organizing its first ever virtual Global Citizenship Conference, with the intention of reaching an even wider audience from across the world.

In view of the unprecedented events that have transpired this year, our annual event, which is the world’s largest and most significant conference on investment migration, will be entirely virtual. With no geographical constraints, we are delighted to be able to include pre-eminent speakers of the highest caliber from around the globe.

While the viewing format has changed, you can still expect an impressive program featuring industry leaders, top-tier international service providers, and senior government officials who will explore pertinent topics and share information on the latest updates and developments in residence and citizenship planning.

The first four panel discussions will focus on the bigger picture and the unprecedented context in which we now operate. A definite highlight is the opening session ‘The Future of Human Migration and Mobility: How Coronavirus Has Upended the World’, in conversation with Dr. Christian H. Kaelin, Henley & Partners’ Chairman and investment migration pioneer, and Dr. Parag Khanna, Founder of FutureMap, who will treat us to a preview his soon-to-be published book, Move – Humanity’s New Geography. There will also be thought leadership sessions that will explore the new emerging global mobility hierarchy in the Covid-19 era — featuring Dr. Demetrios Papademetriou and Rob McNeil among other distinguished panelists — the capacity of investment migration programs to provide a lifeline to sovereign states battered by the pandemic as well as create significant societal value – in which Dr. Kaelin is joined by Prof. Kristin Surak and Simon Anholt — and the current state of play for investment migration in Europe – explored by Bruno L’ecuyer, Laura Austin, and Mark Elsner.

The remaining sessions will shine a spotlight on leading investment migration programs, including real estate-linked programs in Europe, residence programs in Asia, and citizenship programs across the Caribbean.
