Henley Global Citizens Report

Henley Global Citizens Report

The most current high-net-worth population data for cities

The high-net-worth-individual population data in the World’s Wealthiest Cities covers just over 150 cities in five regions worldwide (Africa, the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East) and includes all major wealth hubs.

The data is supplied by wealth intelligence firm, New World Wealth, which is currently the only known independent wealth research firm systematically tracking global private wealth migration trends between countries and between cities. The firm tracks the movements and spending habits of over 150,000 high-net-worth individuals in their in-house database (with a special emphasis on individuals with over USD 10 million in investable assets). New World Wealth’s database is focused on high-net-worth individuals with the work titles: CEO, Founder, Chairman, Partner, and Director. The firm relies primarily on this database when assessing the city wealth breakdowns featured in this report. The data also takes into account public prime property statistics (property registers and property sales). Specifically, it considers the number of highly priced homes in each area.

The data includes only people living in each city (residents). High-net-worth-individual numbers are rounded off to the nearest 100. Multi-millionaire figures are rounded off to the nearest 10. All growth rates are effectively in US dollar terms as high-net-worth-individuals are defined as individuals with net assets of USD 1 million or more.

The World’s Wealthiest Cities features three sets of data and statistics:
